Where to find a Marushin M500 6mm or 8mm dissasembly guide...

Hello fellow Canadians and visitors from abroad.

I am looking for a step-by-step guide to taking apart a Marushin M500 shotgun.

I have a 6mm and I love it to death. ( I will probably be buried with mine )

Anywho, I have looked around and I have found reviews but no takedown guides.

As these are rare pieces and there are not really any replacement parts for them I don't want to just start taking it apart, if I bust something I will be totally screwed!!

I have visited 858airsoft.com and they say they are working on an guide but that it will not be posted until around springtime.

I am in a CQB leage and I want my shottie working again!!! lol

Esentially I broke one of the action arms so when you pump back it is fine, pumping back forward the broken one does not go back forward. Unless they are both fully forward the gun will not fire.

I have tried to ziptie it back together with limited sucess but the ziptie breaks and does not allow the left side action arm fully forward. As a result the gun may or may not fire and if it does fire, it is not at full power.

I have tried that liquid metal glue / epoxy and it only held for 3 pumps.

I have ordered new action bars from UNC but without a guide to take her apart I am hesitant to open up my baby.

If anyone knows of a guide that I missed or if they could email me a guide I would be forever in their debt.

Thank you everyone.

Rico

hats off. no help from me, but cheers for finding the 6mm version. The 8mm is rare, but the 6mm is harder to find then dignity on Paris Hilton.

Yeah, I regret selling it to him, but I'm glad he likes it. Treat her well.

And good luck finding a step by step guide, sorry all I could find was the exploded view from the manual.

You need to unscrew the stock. Then unscrew the trigger guard. Push the black metal pin out that holds the trigger guard in you will notice it on the reciever. Then pull the trigger guide out. Pull out the gas worky bits and you should be able to do it from there. This is all from memory because my gun is off to a new happy owner

Cool thanks for the info.

But I still have no Idea how to detach the action arms from the foregrip.

If anyone still has a guide or knows how to disassemble the gun further (specifically the action arms from the foregrip) that would help big time.

Thanks

Rico

m500 pump/action bar replacing

PM me jrico if you'd like me to walk you through it.
I just broke the arm on my black m500, so it's in
pieces awaiting new action bars from WGC.

Bean is right, his info is accurate. The process is
really very simple compared to Maruzen's complex/
fragile internals.

The action bars aren't locked in really, once you get
them off the pump, then remove the trigger area by
taking out one pin + a screw, the inner works can
be wiggled out leaving the arms loose in their slots.

Bump of thread.

I purchased one of these used and it works great except for the safety. The safety freely moves into the safe position all the time. I can't seem to find the part that holds the safety in fire mode. Anyone have an idea?

The safety is a simple trigger blocker; the only thing "holding it" in either position is a spring loaded ball bearing (parts 75 and 94 on the diagram you linked to). Screwing the safety in more tightly (#41) will increase friction.

If its screwed in as tight as it will go (don't over-tighten!) and still moves freely by itself, you're missing the ball bearing and/or spring.

Thanks Drake, I took it apart last night and I figured as much from the way its build. The little spring I have is too long with the ball bearing. I tried it willl just the spring and it worls nicely. Thanks for the assist.
