Get age-verified, check the Classifieds section, and only buy from Canadian resources. That is the 100% guaranteed way to get what you want.

Anything else, no matter how strange, is a gamble.

Read the FAQ while you're at it.

I ordered a battery from cheapbatterypacks.com, didn't have any problems. I know it's better to order within Canada, but seriously $48 CAD shipped vs. $75 CAD shipped inside Canada??

Well I don't see how you would have any problems with a battery. That's like ordering any normal household item on the internet.

Well exactly. Some on the forum who shall remain unnamed keep warning people that ordering anything from the US is risky

Maybe they have an inside source that tells them that some airsofters that work in customs need accessories.

Even though all my stuff goes through customs processing, its only a day or two added to shipping, and i still get my stuff no matter what it is (other than restricted goods) even with the duty, its still worth it to import.

Mags do not get seized, even ones with fake bullets done. I've imported G&P AK-74 mags, and G36 mags on multiple occasions that customs had looked at with no problem.

It probably depends on the customs person, or how assholish they're feeling that day, or both.

Because those of us who are un-named have been here long enough to see the weirdest things get seized by Customs? And people get burned? And maybe we dont like to see people get reamed?
Or do you really think I say this stuff for shits and giggles?

Did I say I was the one who got stuff seized? I'm saying, read again, that Customs has seized weirder things in the past for no other reason that it was a bad day.

All kinds of parts, add-ons, etc have been seized before. Even the small spring sets that go into mechboxes, just because the container said M-16 or something on it.

I'm saying that dealing with Customs is a gamble at all times and you depend on their whim when you order anything. For many things, the gamble works, sometimes it does not.

If the gamble is worth it to you, heck, go for it.

I buy all my stuff from our retailers or local hobby shops. I also beleive in supporting Canadian Retailers; if we dont, one day we'll really bitch that we cant get anything into the country.
