I'm a fan of the Quebec ballet. It employs a lot of single moms.

It's not Québec at all. Drakkar just messed up his number. He should have just typed 100$. Or, simply, to complicate things correcly: 100.00$

Isnt this potentially advocating the potential for people to steal other peoples weapons and gear then "find" them and return them for a reward?

I'll get the Scar in the next two days with no reward.
The guys will remember is act for the rest of is live and we hope he will stay honest in the futur.

It's a win/win situation now.

We all learn something!

"Sure" but I'm putting myself in the victim's shoes here;
I'd rather put all the chances on my side and "encourage" theft and get back my shit for a 100$ and not have to buy the gun + upgrades and accessories (mags etc) that was with it, as these things adds up pretty quickly as we all know

Besides, if some funny dude gets the idea that this could be a nice sideline to make some easy cash, I'm sure he wouldn't be able to pull it off more than once or twice and then be crammed in a bucket of his own shit

Sorry Drakkar for that out of subject intervention:

Last intervention regarding the way to write numbers, because it's not a Quebec thing, but an internationnal thing. Wikipedia is quite interesting on the subject. Let's just say that the trend is to go without commas to separate the thousands. Like it is to use cm and kilometers even if we all use both metric and imperial units of measure around here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Decimal_mark

Just an extract to understand better:

Quote:
The 22nd General Conference on Weights and Measures declared in 2003 that "the symbol for the decimal marker shall be either the point on the line or the comma on the line". It further reaffirmed that "numbers may be divided in groups of three in order to facilitate reading; neither dots nor commas are ever inserted in the spaces between groups".[10] This usage has therefore been recommended by technical organizations, such as the United States' National Institute of Standards and Technology.
and

Quote:
The convention for digit group separators varies but usually seeks to distinguish the delimiter from the decimal mark. Typically, English-speaking countries employ commas as the delimiter—10,000—and other European countries employ periods or spaces: 10.000 or 10 000. Because of the confusion that can result in international documents, the withdrawn SI/ISO 31-0 standard advocates the use of spaces[12] and the International Bureau of Weights and Measures and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry advocate the use of a "thin space" in "groups of three".[13][14] Within the United States, the American Medical Association's widely-followed AMA Manual of Style also calls for a thin space.[11
And to finish, I went to check an excerpt from the Ontario math program, and noticed that the way they write numbers is 10 000 and not 10,000 but with the use of the period for decimals. So it makes all of us learning about the same thing.

Learn something ? I learned by the age of 4-5 that stealing is wrong, and still is today at the age of 29.

You want to make him learn ? Ban his ass to every airsoft game in Quebec and all the airsoft related Facebook pages he's suscribed to.

It's not a win/win situation, it's rather a I-fucked-up-now-I-have-to-get-my-ass-out-of-trouble/win issue.

Also true!

The problem remain with all the guilty people in prison right now.
Should we give them another chance?

I had another chance when i was young. Nothing that bad, but i had the chance to take another path for good. It all happen in a couple of minutes that chance my life in a good way.

Now, in this case, i choose to give a guy a chance to correct a mistake and dont fall in the dark side of the force.

Future will tell me if i was right.
The victim is OK with all this.

I believe in redemption in some cases.

At least the owner got his gun back.

I'd still at least make sure that admins know who this is.

His name should be public. I want to know who I can and cannot trust.

Don't let him go scot free.

I'm not quite clear on this. It has been resolved then? The gun was returned? If so, that's great. Good on the person(s) for coming clean. Is still however lay out appropriate punishments. He/they would be banned for life, or at least a few years, their personal info and image would be passed over to other community leaders as a "high risk" person, and I'd charge him. He may not get jail time, but he'd have a criminal record, could not travel to certain places, like the US, could never be a police officer or have a job that involved sensitive peoples. Penance must be just, and justice must be firm, to serve as an example to others. Also, a face to face apology to the victim and the local community.
