Thinner handguards for M16 and M4

As you can see in my sig, I've got a CA M15A4 rifle that I'm making into a C7A1, and a custom C8A2. Both have CA handguards.

I've recently acquired 2 Diemaco TRIAD rail systems that I'd like to mount to complete the look. I can fit the rails on the gas block without issue. However, the problem is the handguards are too fat and I can't fit them back on with the Triads mounted in their proper orientation with the rails pointing back. I can fit them on reverse and they'll work, but looks odd.

So my question is if anyone knows of handguards I could get that are thinner than stock CA that I could use with my Triad rails. I haven't been able to find anything specific with their sizes...

Have you tried RS??

Should work without a lot of modification (if any)

Other than that, I would say try china brands.

There's a G&P M16 Shorty front end that has the C8 type barrel and handgrips on Redwolf.

He's concerned about the triad mounts not fitting with the grips. That front end doesn't have the mounts.

Oh I know that :P he's already got the Triad's, he just wants the slim grips to fit them. I know Vince was having the same problem and just sanded the grip down the fit it.

If you can find the real grips though, go for that instead

I discovered that XM177 front grips are thinner than M4, and they will more than likely fit. I'll get a set of those and try it out.

The TRIAD mount actually fits on the C7. The M15's grips are a bit fat, but the rail can still be fit on over top of it. It's a tight fit, but it fits. And it's not like I have to remove the grips at any time, so it's all good.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.
