If you get one of the lower end models, you can upgrade to the hardened gears, steel toothed pistons and such found on the Max gun - upgrading to this level also allows you to use the M150 cylinder unit (with the proper battery.)

And as far as velocity goes, one of the main selling points of Systemas is being able to swap cylinder units in and out to adjust velocities very quickly. I can swap from 330fps to 500fps in less than 10 seconds.
All the new M90 kits that are available now have the steel rack gear. Older Gen 1-3 guns may not have them, as my Gen 1 did, but it's easily replaced. Gen 3 guns are fine for up to M130, but you do need the 3 hardened planetary gears to accomodate the M150 kit.

And let me tell you when you can swap cylinders and batteries in seconds to alter a guns' performance, you don't need to maintain 3 or 4 different guns to be able to play at different fields. That cost savings pays for a PTW right there.

I totally agree 100%

In seconds you can go from stock standard fps to upgraded/extreme in seconds. I have used the red cylinder at our field once, believe me it was banned, with good reason!!. At the time it was the only cylinder I had for it, but within a week or two I had the full set.

You will never look back after buying a PTW.....worth every penny and then some. Reliabilty, versatility and seeing that sheer fear in the eyes of ya opponent, what more can ya ask for.

I haven't heard that. But if Systema had to hastily come up with the MAX II with the M90 kit for the domestic market, there may be some of those floating around. I ordered an M90 this spring and it came with the steel gear. I replaced the alloy one in my old M16.

So I do have a spare one, but in alloy. Not likely I'll ever need it.

Older Gen 3 SCKs may have that gear present, but there aren't that many of them floating around Canada. Maybe 3 or 4.
