Offering Carpool to Milscrim at Niagara Quartermaster Airsoft Field this Sunday, May 28th

Continuing our quest to try to visit all the outdoor fields within 90 minutes of Toronto, my son and I will be going to Niagara Quartermaster Outdoor Recreation this Sunday, May 28th.

This weekend we are heading to Niagara Quartermaster Outdoor Recreation's field as they are holding a Milscrim called Operation Emerging Reign . From the event description, it sounds like an excellent opportunity for newer players to dip their feet into milsim-style play.

My son and I will be leaving from the Eglinton and Allen Road area, departing at 8:15 AM (this may vary depending on what field we choose). We have two seats free in our sedan, with fair amount of room for gear in the trunk

If you can make it to the Eglinton West TTC station for 8:15 AM, we can meet you right across the street from the station. Departure time is 8:15 sharp - since this is a Milscrim, we need to allow as much time at the field getting set up and squared away as possible.

We can, with some advance coordination, pick up people along the 401/427/QEW on the way as long as you're not more than 3-5 minutes off the highway and west of the Allen Road on the 401, and then down the 427 to the QEW.

Chipping in money for gas is appreciated, but if you are a student or have a cash-flow problem at the moment, the trip is on me. I figure we're going anyway, might as well bring people for the ride! Pay what you can.

We'll stay there for the day, leaving around 5:30, when the op ends and the field closes.

I'm a 43-year old father with a mature 12-year old son who will also be coming. I'm told I'm easy to get along with - I take the game seriously but I'm also more about fun than winning or kills. I'm looking for people to play with on a regular basis, but nothing so formal as a team yet, so here's a chance to meet people and get to know the community better without committing to anything.

Be aware that it is a 6 hour event and you are expected to carry all required gear/food/water into the field with you.

Teams are split up by armbands, so there are no camouflage scheme requirements for tan or green.

I'm not going to give 1-10 scale ratings because I think that simplifies things too much. People might like a field for one quality and another person might not like it for the same reason.

As for top 10 ranking, I might do a personal ranking at the end, but I also think that's not very useful. I think that my preference is to describe them, critique them constructively and let people draw their own conclusions.
