It's an exurb from a book... The original poster's ending sentence had a remarkable likeness to the fore-word in the 1st edition re-print of the book... I thought he may have been making a reference to the book.

Here's some more info... I'd suggest it, It's a very challenging read... in a much different way than any other book is.
