If you're new to airsoft I would suggest starting out with a lower FPS. It takes a bit of time to learn proper trigger control.. and you don't want to be labeled as "that damn new guy who over-shoots with an almost hot gun"

For new players 350 FPS is ideal, You wont be out-gunned that much, but it'll teach you how to move and earn your kills.

I've spent a good couple hours in some games with nothing but a rubber knife trying to improve my stealth and stalking skills.
