You take all the fun out of things sometimes
The security industry in Ontario just changed in a manner not unlike your PAL thought... the Ministry blended Private investigators and Security guards together into one license. I pay another $80 and I get a PI license on top of my guard license.
So the precedent is there, and there's a template the PAL system could adopt and adapt.
And I'm sure people in charge of regulating and knowing the PAL system take training courses regularly (at work there's almost a course a month I have to sit in on. Different industry, but still), so I don't know how much work/money it'd take to incorporate an Airsoft recognition program into the PAL thing, but I can't see it being a shit ton.
Palo smells funny....
But this has been discussed to death I'm sure...
"War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend: the city of the Men of Numenor, and I would have her loved for her memory, her ancientry, her beauty, and her present wisdom. Not feared, save as men may fear the dignity of a man, old and wise." - J.R.R. Tolkien
