Actually this advise is dead wrong. Both the police and the civil courts will view your concern with more credibility if you give the other party a reasonable time to pay/rectify before trotting off to complain to the courts.
That's what I thought. I mean he could just say he "was busy, and could not find time to read emails". One week should be good?

Also be cautious where you get your legal advice.

That's fine. I don't care if I'm stuck with it, as I could make some money back from it. The body looked like it was in tip-top shape, and someone may find use for the scope.. I just don't want to be at a complete loss.
