I don't think a V7 is good for beginners at all. There's like 3 different "V7" standards and to put it back together requires a lot of manual dexterity.

V3 and V6 are probably the better ones to learn on. CYMA AK or Aftermath Kraken (CYMA internals) are probably the best "3D instruction manual" to learn on because they're dirt cheap.
