your parts will still be seized at the border. The upper receiver of the g36 is the restricted portion, it is not allowed to be imported.
BTW, matrix is evike's housebrand, they often misrepresent the quality of these products. If you can't find a bad review on evike it's because they delete all the bad reviews and only keep the good ones. ASGI does this as well, but they don't rebrand the cheapest garbage they can find as a 'premium' brand (mostly).
It is probably at best, the JG g36, which isn't a bad gun, but not worth the risk of putting your name and address on a watch/detain list when you cross the border or go traveling. It could be any other number of china brand shitsoft as well, quite frankly you don't know what you're getting.
You seriously want to gamble your money? You don't want to save up another 200 to get a CA or KWA? well you'll have 0 dollars and no gun when that matrix is seized, and because of the way they deal with shipping, they'll probably charge you 100$ to ship it to canada.. if you even get it at all.
Because you mentioned it, toronto airsoft is having a sale on their g36 which imo is a far safer and cheaper bet than the ares (or risking import), even though it's tinted. that can be easily solved. And it doesn't matter to the guy you hit with it whether if it's clear or not, it works just the same as a TM compatible.
