Yeah pretty much the only way to make it really worth your time is ONE of the two following scenarios:
1) You've got relatively deep pockets, love building custom guns, and don't mind the adventure of fitment modification that finding a metal body can bring
2) You want to get into your own custom builds and can find a metal body for under 200 bucks.
Plenty of people out there have fit into one of the above and come out happy in the end.. So there's no need to toss out your gun just yet. You just need some patience, it's one of those constraints that can turn a quick project into a long-term project, but it's still fun to do. It worked out well for me.
