SCAR questions

I've recently taken some interest in getting a SCAR and after searching through here a bit I found this review

It is outstandingly in depth but it's from 2006. has anything major changed in the model line since then?

In the review it shows the stock piston being clear plastic (polycarb i think he said) and that his cracked, but that the madbull replacement required filing. Is there a replacement piston that does not require filing?

He also said that the motor is not strong enough for an m120 spring. Does anybody have a suggestion for an upgraded motor? I would like to get the rifle shooting just under 400 but as close as possible without varying above

I guess lastly is that it is my understanding the scar uses an m4 length barrel, I just thought I'd double check. Thanks
There may be more lap sitting, and I might answer more of your questions with a story, but mostly my mustache tells people that there is a 90 percent chance that I am poorly educated, that I keep up scale porn out in the open, and that I listen to the Little River band with large headphones.
