I would add as a tidbit, the WE 1911s (and possibly other models), and makes derived from it such as SOCOM Gear (maybe others as well), have a mechanism which require the slide be racked before the gun will shoot. i.e., inserting a new mag into an uncocked gun, cocking the hammer (without racking the slide) and pulling the trigger will give you a *click* (even if the mag has gas and BBs).
The TM does not though. I tried one last weekend, which is exactly like the one I'm getting, and the guy told me not to rack the slide as there was already a BB in the chamber... He told me to just cock it... and it did work. note that I did remove and reinsert the mag before...
anyway, you guys are right, it may be more gas effective to just rack it, and cooler too. lol.
