Although the M4 being taken apart may not be exactly the same as yours, it will be a good video to watch to give you an idea as to how to disassemble your M4.

For simple storage, I would recommend removing the front and rear reliever pins and separating the two halves of the gun to store.
Its less complex than taking the whole thing apart and then putting it back together when you want it.
